Begun this Clone War Has

The Dark Side clouds everything … Impossible to see the future is.

Observe you the Sith Lord young padawan.

We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.

Clones they are. Mmm, Yes. All thinking alike. Thinking independently they are not.

Truly blind we are, if creation of this clone army we could not see.

But master Jim, Darth Bama has fallen. His job approval rating among likely voters is 45%. Are we not victorious?

Not victory, padawan. The shroud of the Dark Side has fallen. Begun, this Clone War has.

    I'm missing your point.
    Do you imply that it's not a good idea to spend even more $$$ on yet another army?

    Of course, like any politician, Obama said this in a fairly innocent sounding context.

    However, we already have a huge military, and we already have an armed citizenry. What would be the purpose of Obama's new civilian army? How can we afford it? Who would it provide security to?

    Perhaps most importantly - Who did Obama see as a threat when he said this?
